As the year draws to a close, we reflect and find ourselves filled with gratitude. We are grateful for the opportunity to do what we enjoy while sharing the bounty with others and positively impacting the environment and our community. For us, 2024 was not just about growing vegetables—it was about growing knowledge, fostering connections, and giving back to the community that sustains us.
Throughout this past year, we focused on growth—not just for our crops but also for deepening our understanding of the soil-human health connection. From the early spring planting to the final autumn harvest, each season brought new challenges, triumphs, and opportunities to adapt and improve our understanding. Through workshops, farm tours, and hands-on learning experiences, we welcomed people to join in this growth, learn about where their food comes from, and understand some of our regenerative and sustainable techniques.
We believe that knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we can offer, and it’s been exciting to see how our community has embraced these opportunities to learn and grow with us. Seeing the awe on others’ faces as they walked through the fields and greenhouses or hearing stories about meals prepared with our produce reminds us why we do what we do, each day.
This year, we were also committed to giving back in meaningful ways. With your support, we donated thousands of pounds of fresh produce to local food banks, schools, and community kitchens, ensuring everyone had access to nutritious, farm-fresh food. Additionally, through our Give Back Campaign, we donated over $20,000 to local organizations in Dufferin County that make this community a great place to live. This fall, we coordinated fundraisers to support community projects, including farm-to-school initiatives and sports clubs.
As we plan for next year, we’re excited to deepen our commitment to supporting the community with healthy, fresh, local food. We hope that you will continue to be a part of our farm journey, learning, giving, and growing. Whether it’s by visiting the farm, spreading the word about local food, or simply enjoying the fruits and vegetables of our labour, your involvement makes all the difference. Together, we can cultivate an abundant future, not just with vegetables, but with kindness, knowledge, and connection.
Wishing you a healthy, joyful, and abundant New Year.
