Growing Practices
At Lennox Farm, we strive to improve our farming practices each season so we can grow our soil’s health and produce healthier food to nurture the community. While in the past we have focused on sustainable farming practices such as crop rotations, cover cropping, and planting trees and fence lines for windbreaks, we have begun to implement new technologies and several regenerative agriculture practices.
We are moving towards no-till farming practices to reduce the disturbance of our soil. We are focused on reducing the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides by increasing our carbon and organic matter. Improving plant diversity and introducing grazing livestock are other practices we have implemented on our farm to improve our soil’s health.
